For Spiffy's double click feature I chose it to open my default email client, which is Thunderbird. However when I double click spiffy, I get an error message, that the system cannot find the file specified. However the log in Spiffy refers to the correct link, and it's really there in the folder.
Did any of you experience something similar and are there solutions to it?
My best,

Can you post what is logged in Spiffy when this happens? If it contains private data you don't want to post here you can send it by mail. I had this problem before and should be fixable. Thanks.

Spiffy logged the following message:
23-8-2010 15:48:56 - Error starting: "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Thunderbird\thunderbird.exe" -mail
The error message reads:
"Error starting default mail client! The system cannot find the file specified"
And btw, if it matters, my OS is Windows 7.

Thanks that helps, expect it to be fixed in next release. OS is not the problem

Thanks for your fast clarification. Can I "solve" my issue by installing an older version? And do you know when the next version will be released?
PS I am very happy with Spiffy, it's the best email notification application available. ;D

Older versions will have the same bug sorry It was introduced in 0.4.6 I'm hoping to release a new version by the end of this week, waiting for a translation and have to test some stuff. Including your bug

That's great, I will be looking forward to it. I have a tip concerning the icons which you could perhaps take into consideration. Currently I am using the gray tray icon for no new mails and the red (gmail) icon when it detects new mail. I like it how the grey icon blends in with the other W7 icons. But still, it's a bit disticts. Perhaps you could consider adding a black&white icon which blends in perfectly with the W7 tray icons.
Good luck on the new release.
My best,
Jack

About the icons... try to make/find them yourself, there is an option to use your own icons instead of the one's built in.
Fixed the Thunderbird bug btw, it's in next release.

That's great new, looking forward to the next release. Regarding the icons, do you know where I can find the tray icons spiffy uses so I can adjust the colour.
